Colombia El Mirador Lacto Natural
Colombian coffee is known for being fruity, smooth, and lively when it comes to small specialty coffee lots, and El Mirador is a shining example of that! This coffee is beautifully balanced yet perfect for exploring new vibrant flavors. We enjoyed notes of fruity cereals, cane sugar, elderflower and pear, with a pleasantly bright acidity.
A Lacto-fermented natural process means that these hand-picked sugary cherries were placed in a sealed (anaerobic) tank to ferment, where the carbohydrates in the mucilage are consumed to produce lactic acid; which in turn impacts flavor. All of that to say, you can expect profound fruity, creamy, and distinctive flavors in this incredible coffee.
The farm, Finca El Mirador, has grown from 11.7 to 23 hectares, and is owned and operated by one of our producer partners who grows exceptional coffee and pays workers high wages. Share this cup with us and take note of its wildly fruity aroma, tasting notes of cane sugar, elderflower, pear, and green tea; all backed by a creamy yet brilliant body and mouthfeel.
