Malawi Mzuzu
Experience the bright, juicy flavors of this coffee from the high-altitude regions of Mzuzu, Malawi. Grown in the rich, biodiverse highlands, Malawi’s fertile soils are ideal for producing fruity and complex Arabica coffees of the highest quality.
This cup delights with sparkling aromas of cherry blossom and peach candies, followed by a citrusy brightness that unfolds into a luscious body with a lingering finish.
Sourced from the Mzuzu Coffee Planters Cooperative Union, this coffee is grown by small-scale farmers in high-altitude microclimates near Lake Malawi. The farmers cultivate Catimor varieties along with a small amount of Geisha. Using the washed process, the coffee cherries are carefully sun-dried on raised beds, resulting in a clean and vibrant cup.
Roasted to a lighter medium profile, this coffee offers fragrant notes of cherry blossom, peach ring candies, and dried raspberry. The juicy citrus acidity is beautifully balanced by a sweet, moderate body, with subtle hints of spices and brown sugar rounding out the experience—perfect for lovers of complex African coffees.
