Guatemala Huehuetenango Finca El Amate
A true nano-lot of Guatemalan coffee has arrived! This coffee is from a farm of only 8.4 hectares (20 acres), which is a rarity for single lots from Guatemala that make it all the way to the US. Additionally, this coffee strays from typical chocolate-on-chocolate notes and instead buzzes our taste buds with florals, red fruit notes, and a lighter body.
Petronilo De Jesus Martinezs’ farm, Finca El Amate, is in Hoja Blanca, Cuilco, Huehuetenango. This family farm is on a great journey of producing amazing coffee, even participating in the Guatemala Cup of Excellence and building their own mills. We are honored to share their complex and intriguing coffee with you!
A medium roast level for this coffee holds on to a juicy brightness that light roast lovers would enjoy. Aroma of cherry blossom and red apple melt into a light-bodied coffee that reminds us of black tea with hints of berry sweetness and complex nutty undertones. Try this coffee while you can!
